Pain Management at End of Life – this program will review pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic modalities for patients at the end of life. Over 50% of the elderly suffer from chronic pain, yet much of that pain is not adequately managed. Join us to learn how you can keep your patients comfortable and allow them to be more active.

Objectives:

1. Review pharmacologic management of pain in the geriatric patient.
2. Discuss the types of pain in the geriatric patient and various assessment tools specific to the elderly patient.
3. Describe how to manage the side effects of opiates.
