In the wake of recent disasters affecting senior living communities, states and municipalities are tightening safety regulations nationwide. LTC facilities are under increased scrutiny with new regulations likely in the next 24 months.
The National Fire Protection Association ( NEPA) is also reviewing its guidelines, including NFPA 101: Life Safety Code (2018), which outlines critical standards for occupant safety, fire protection system, and healthcare facility requirements.
