For Traci Countryman, her 10-year journey at Medication Management Partners began with a leap of faith — and a desire for something more meaningful.
After spending a decade in banking, Traci made the decision to step into a new industry when an opportunity opened at MMP. Encouraged by her sister-in-law, Lauren Marshal-Kunz (MMP Intake Manager), she joined the organization as a biller in the billing department, ready to apply her skills in a completely different environment.
“I left banking and came over to MMP,” she recalls. “It was a big change — but the right one.”
From the ‘Toddler Years’ to Today
While Traci wasn’t part of MMP’s earliest days, she arrived during what she fondly calls the company’s “toddler years.”
“I wasn’t here for the infant stage,” she laughs. “But I was here for the toddler phase.”
Over the past decade, she’s witnessed extraordinary growth — new systems, expanded teams, and an organization that continues to evolve at a rapid pace. What stands out most to Traci is not just how much MMP has grown, but how intentionally that growth has been guided.
“The growth we’ve had in just 10 years is insane,” she says. “And to think about what the next 10 or 20 years will bring — it’s exciting.”
An Open Door, At Every Level
One of the things Traci values most about MMP is its leadership culture. Despite titles and roles, she describes senior leadership as approachable, hands-on, and genuinely invested in their people.
“I love that regardless of title, there’s an open-door policy,” she explains. “I can go to anyone in senior leadership with a question, and they’ll sit down and explain things — they don’t shoo you away.”
That accessibility, combined with clear direction and support, has helped Traci grow into her current role as Accounts Receivable Supervisor, where she continues to take on new responsibilities with confidence.
Growth Through Challenge & Support
Traci credits much of her professional growth to strong mentorship — particularly from Samantha Oryhon (MMP VP of Finance & HR), whom she has reported to for several years.
“She pushes me to be better every day,” Traci says. “She encourages me to step out of my comfort zone, take on new tasks, and trust myself. Even when I’m unsure, she sees the potential — and that’s helped me grow so much.”
That balance of accountability and encouragement has shaped Traci’s experience and reinforced her belief that growth often comes from being challenged by people who genuinely want to see you succeed.
Advice to the Next Generation
For those just beginning their journey at MMP, Traci believes compassion is key — for coworkers, leadership, partners, and yourself.
She encourages new team members to remain open to learning and be willing to be challenged. Growth, she believes, often comes from being pushed beyond what feels comfortable, especially when leaders see potential you may not yet recognize in yourself.
At MMP, that push is always paired with support. Traci’s advice is simple: trust the process, ask questions, and embrace opportunities to grow. When you do, you’ll find yourself building not just skills — but confidence, resilience, and a meaningful career.
Compassion at the Core
For Traci, success at MMP starts with compassion — for coworkers, partners, and residents alike. She believes understanding people and meeting them where they are is essential in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
Leadership at MMP, she says, doesn’t allow people to settle into complacency — but that expectation is always paired with support. “They want to bring out your full potential,” she explains. “They push you because they believe in you.”
Human Moments That Matter
While Traci’s career has been filled with growth and responsibility, some of her favorite memories reflect the lighter, more human side of MMP.
From spontaneous moments of humor — to shared laughter across departments, those moments helped build camaraderie and connection.
More importantly, MMP has been present through Traci’s personal milestones. “They celebrated my kids getting married, the birth of my granddaughter — they’ve been there for the good and the hard moments,” she shares. “That means everything.”
Looking Ahead with Excitement
As Traci looks toward the future of MMP, what excites her most is the company’s continued momentum — and the vision guiding it. Over the past decade, she has witnessed tremendous growth, from evolving systems to expanding teams, all driven by a clear commitment to doing things better.
She finds inspiration in leadership that thinks long-term and isn’t afraid to set ambitious goals. “The growth we’ve had in just 10 years is incredible,” she reflects. “To think about what the next 10 or 20 years will bring is exciting.”
For Traci, the future represents opportunity — to keep learning, to take on new challenges, and to continue contributing to an organization that is constantly moving forward.
Grounded in More Than a Job
Ten years at Medication Management Partners has been about more than professional milestones for Traci — it’s been about feeling supported through every stage of life.
MMP has celebrated her alongside personal milestones, from her children getting married to welcoming her granddaughter into the world. During both joyful and challenging moments, the organization has remained a constant source of encouragement and care.
That sense of connection is what defines Traci’s experience. Her journey reflects the power of a workplace that values people as whole individuals — where growth is encouraged, compassion is practiced, and contributions are genuinely appreciated.
This milestone isn’t just a marker of time. It’s a testament to relationships built, trust earned, and a career shaped by purpose and support.
