As residents age in place and develop increasing medical, mobility, and cognitive needs, decisions around admitting new residents or retaining long-term residents become more complex. State regulations vary widely—some require no licensed nurse on staff, while others mandate 24/7 RN coverage. Many communities rely on medication aides to support care delivery, but as acuity rises, questions emerge about staff capacity, resident safety, and appropriate clinical oversight.
This webinar will explore the clinical, regulatory, and operational factors that influence admission and retention decisions, including staffing models, licensure requirements, and care scenarios that demand thoughtful evaluation. Participants will gain practical guidance on aligning resident needs with staff skills while maintaining quality and compliance.
