Basic things we all take for granted. These rights are simply an umbrella. Under each of these rights, there are over 40 specific areas we need to adhere to. Although many of our residents are unable to understand their rights, do we dismiss them? It’s a new year with new challenges. So many new things to learn, but if we don’t remember the basics, we will fail our residents!
This webinar will review and remind us of what we’ve promised to provide in our Long-Term Care Communities. Many times, we forget until there is an incident. We have new obligations based on 2019 regulatory changes that impact the services we provide and how we share those with our residents.
Do you know?
- The residents’ rights that most often abused?
- Regulatory changes to rights in the past year?
- Ways to encourage staff to ensure that residents’ rights are adhered to?
- How to avoid lawsuits by understanding the critical points that help avoid adverse incidents?
Join Marge Jordan, RN, LTC Consultant and Educator as she reviews these critical rights and provides guidance on ways to avoid incidents and provide our residents with the rights that they are entitled to.
