Hospice consists of care designed to promote comfort and support to patients and their families when a life limiting illness no longer
responds to cure oriented treatments. Hospice care neither prolongs life nor hastens death.
Included in hospice’s range of care-focused services, are activities such as medication delivery, particular measures for pain relief;
assistance with bathing and activities of daily living and spiritual counseling.
Components of hospice include:
• In home care
• Respite Services
• Inpatient care
• Anywhere that the patient considers home…
This webinar will focus on techniques to manage pain and other symptoms that cause discomfort or distress; the best ways to create a
comfortable environment; ways to work with and provide relief to family members as well as other types of counseling for residents and staff.
Please join Marge Jordan, RN, LTC Consultant & Educator as she provides insight into this difficult time.
Please forward webinar brochure to others within your facility who would benefit from a better understanding of these challenges.
