The Ever-changing Survey Process and What To Expect

The Survey Process is ever-changing. CMS will introduce new “Hot Topics” for Surveyors to focus on. CMS has issued additional areas for surveyors to investigate; changes in scope and severity take center-stage; and federal follow-up surveys plague facilities.

This program will focus and take a deep dive into the Survey results from 2018. We will focus on the most-cited deficiencies and drill down to identify trends in the industry including:

• • New deficiencies
  • Scope and severity
  • Immediate jeopardy
  • Why certain F-Tags deficiencies continue to be cited
  • New survey topics

Also, of great importance is how to survive a survey.  Survey readiness is what happens every day that the Surveyor does not step onto the floor – it’s the all-in preparation for the day that he or she does!  We will review the new trends in the Survey process:  how to get ready; how to take control of the process and manage
it while the Surveyors are in your facility; and how to respond to deficiencies.  This webinar will help you improve outcomes as well as provide valuable tips on how to manage the survey process successfully.
