With the recent restrictions on psychotropic medications, communities find themselves struggling with a resurgence in unwanted resident behaviors that in the past may have been managed more by anti-psychotics. In every facility across the country, there is in every unit, that everyone sighs when the light is lit or when staff is assigned to their care. It’s that one person that is hard to please… unreasonable… or has periods of yelling, screaming and throwing things.
It isn’t all of the time and there is no way that you can predict the behavior. Instead of avoiding those residents, a progressive approach can improve the situation.
Do you know…
- The best way to investigate to resolve the issue?
- How to determine if the reason is medical or emotional?
- The simple techniques that can help you achieve your goal and make your resident happier?
- More effective ways of reducing or even preventing these unwanted behaviors?
Join Marge Jordan, RN, LTC Consultant, and Educator as she shares her insight on bad behavior and answers questions that will help residents be happier with their situation and your staff happier to answer their needs.
This webinar will be of interest to Administrators, RN, Key Department Heads, Others involved in direct resident care.
