Meet the Leadership Team:

Labinot Avdiu, Pharm. D., FACA, Chief Executive Officer

Labinot Avdiu was recognized by Pharmacy Times as a finalist for “Next Generation Long-term Care Pharmacist” annual award. His extensive pharmacy management background includes successfully implementing ongoing quality improvement programs, leveraging technology to improve outcomes and serving the medication needs of the older adult population. Labinot earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Oklahoma.

Ron Weinert

Ron leads MMP's compliance, business and product line development, business intelligence, and strategic innovation and growth initiatives. He brings 36 years of pharmacy leadership experience and relationship building to bear on MMP’s goals. Prior to joining MMP he served in a series of increasingly responsible leadership roles with Walgreens, most recently as Vice-President of Accountable Care Services reporting directly to the Chief Medical Officer.

Deb Meehan, Pharm.D.
Chief Administrative Officer

Deb Meehan, is a third generation family pharmacist. Deb began her career as a hospital pharmacist after earning her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Creighton University. She eventually rejoined the Doubek Pharmacy family business that she grew up in and worked alongside her grandfather and father.

Patrice Johnson
Director of Operations, Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)

Patrice spent the previous 19 years of her career with a large long term care pharmacy serving in operational leadership roles, most recently as Executive Director. A St. Louis College of Pharmacy graduate, Patrice has earned recognition for clinical and operational excellence. She has done pioneering work in medication management protocol development and implementation, as well as optimization of electronic health records for long term care communities.

Daniel T. Liston, C.P.A.
Finance Director

Most recently Dan served as a senior financial analyst for Sammons Financial Group and previously worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers in auditing. Dan manages all financial functions for Medication Management Partners.

Brenda Brinka
Director, Business Development

Brenda's prior experience in pharmaceutical sales, small business ownership/management and integrated business solutions for longterm care facilities and pharmacies provides a unique perspective and a firm foundation for understanding congregate care communities' pharmacy needs and expertly matching the appropriate MMP services to help them meet their objectives. Brenda serves independent living, assisted living, supportive living, group homes and CILAs in both Illinois and Wisconsin.

Julie A. Schouten, PHR
Director of Human Resources

Julie is responsible for human resource initiatives including employee and labor relations, compensation and benefit administration, legal compliance, acquisition support and recruitment and training support. No stranger to senior living, Julie has also walked in our client’s shoes having served as the corporate director of human resources for Senior Lifestyle Corporation.

Mimoza Metarapi, Pharm. D.
Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist

Mimosa began her pharmacy career in a community pharmacy in Kosovo, where she also volunteered with the United Nations Mission in Kosovo to help identify and resolve public health concerns in war-stricken communities. After moving to Chicago, she gained clinical experience in inpatient and outpatient clinics at John H. Stroger Hospital. After earning the Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from University of Florida, she joined MMP where she provides medication therapy evaluations for ensuring a safe, appropriate and economical use of drugs in patient care.

Tim Hamilton
Business Development Manager

Tim Hamilton, Business Development Manager, has worked in various aspects of healthcare since graduating from Cedarville College in 1979. As marketing manager for Hook’s Home Health Centers, owner/operator of Access Plus accessibility lifts and home elevators, and now business development Manager for Medication Management Partners, Tim appreciates the importance of quality products and intentional customer care. He values the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of clients and residents he serves.
